Responsibilities:
The Facilities and Maintenance Manager will play a pivotal role in maximizing the effectiveness of our production equipment, facilities assets, and human resources within the Maintenance and Facilities Department.
This individual will understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and methods while recommending and implementing changes to enhance assets, production, maintenance processes, and part quality while reducing operating costs.
Provide input into the site's business plans and manage the Production and Facility equipment to achieve set targets.
Ensure a Safe, Healthy, and Environmentally sound workplace is maintained.
Strive towards the organization's target of being Best in Class, fostering a cultural change within the full maintenance organization, including union maintenance personnel.
Establish individual performance criteria, regularly review them, and take necessary actions to ensure performance improvement.
Evaluate competitive posture with in-house and/or outside suppliers of similar services, recommending strategies to be the lowest cost, highest quality provider, within bargaining unit guidelines.
Ensure prompt delivery of finished products or services to internal customers, employing various communication styles and methods to inform them of progress.
Assess team members' skills and organizational needs, filling gaps through mentoring, formal and informal training programs, and implementing hiring plans as necessary.
Maximize equipment uptime by implementing a total preventative maintenance (TPM) program in partnership with the Operations group, identifying critical spare requirements, and maintaining sufficient stock.
Drive towards zero unplanned equipment downtime, identify root causes, and effectively manage corrective action plans.
Continuously improve the effectiveness of our computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Direct the activities of all Maintenance and Facilities staff and collective bargaining unit personnel.
Control costs, forecast staffing, Maintenance, and Facility requirements.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed and assigned.
Be available to respond to issues on a 24/7 basis as needed.

Job
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance, and/or Facilities Management, or related fields; Alternatively, 8 years of professional experience in facilities and/or maintenance management may be considered in lieu of a degree.
5 years of experience in facilities maintenance for manufacturing or production.
5 years of experience in management of maintenance departments and personnel.
Must be a U.
S.
Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Professional Mechanical Engineer, ISO/AS9100, and NADCAP certifications.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to cast vision, motivate, and drive accountability, while fostering an ethical and positive workplace.
Results-driven leader with a proven record of success.
Working knowledge and experience in maintenance for Union work environments.
Strategic leader with tactical and methodical execution.
Knowledge of automated manufacturing equipment and controls.
Experience with thermal and chemical processing equipment.
Experience working in refinery-type manufacturing environments.
