Competitive Sr. Lead

Our Competitive Intelligence Team is seeking a Senior Lead Manager to join our team. The Competitive Intelligence Team is part of the broader Research Department at DIRECTV, which conducts market research, explores consumer insights, and tracks competitive pricing, features, and positioning. This role will execute the industry trend analysis and forecasting function.
As a Senior Lead Manager, you will have responsibilities in the following:
Development and execution of competitive intelligence related to volumes forecasting and trends on the video landscape.
Develop projections using reported and estimated data and modifying forecasts based on stated and derived short-term and long-term competitor strategies.
Executing company competitive intelligence and financial analysis and translating findings into implications/recommendations.
Establishing and monitoring ongoing projects and methodological approach, structure, and techniques to ensure quality and consistent analysis.
Serving as an internal subject matter expert in specific areas of competitive intelligence and maintain awareness of industry trends and developments.
Developing reports and presentations for senior management.
Managing supplier relationships.
The successful candidate will use creative techniques to gather information, and synthesize it into conclusions, implications, and recommendations.
What you'll need to be successful:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in analysis, consulting or strategy required.
Bachelors/Undergraduate Degree preferred; MBA a plus!
Consulting or Equity Research experience before or after business school highly preferred.
Background must include analytical research and/or competitive intelligence with experience gathering data, structuring/solving problems, drawing conclusions and formulating recommendations.
Strong problem-solving and analytic skills.
Strong communications skills (written and verbal). Candidate should be able to articulate not just the conclusions of the data, but what it means.
Commitment to high quality work product and attention to detail.
Ability to execute multiple parallel assignments in a high-quality manner while hitting deadlines.
Strong work ethic with a passion for information and attention to detail.
We are looking for proactive candidates. A strong sense of ownership and passion for driving to results is essential.
Experience in or a working knowledge of media, entertainment and/or consumer products/services is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required.
This role requires occasional travel, approximately 5-10%.

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
DIRECTV WAGE ZONES: $105,830 - $192,050
Low (N1): $105,830 - $158,650
Mid (N2): $111,400 - $167,000
High (N3): $122,540 - $183,700
Top (N4): $128,110 - $192,050

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
